Compensation: Therapists retain 70% of clinical fees

Riley Brown Counselling is a growing private practice in the Comox Valley dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based counselling for adults navigating anxiety & ADHD. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an Therapist and collaborator who is passionate about providing exceptional clinical care while contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Therapist to join our growing practice as an independent contractor. This position offers the opportunity to build a thriving caseload while enjoying the flexibility of private practice with the support of an established practice.
The ideal candidate enjoys working independently. The role will start as virtual and then move to hybrid when in-person office space becomes available.
What Riley Brown Counselling Provides
Steady client referrals
Administrative support, including client inquiries and scheduling systems
Professional marketing and an established online presence
Billing, payment processing, and secure electronic health records through Jane App
Flexibility to create a schedule that supports work-life balance
Future access to an in-person office space
Education Requirements:
Diploma or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field
Current registration in good standing with a self-regulatory body (e.g., CPCA, ACCT, BCACC, CCPA, BCCSW, etc.)
Desires to join The College of Health and Care Professionals of BC in Nov 2027
Current professional liability insurance
Required Qualifications:
Ability to practice in BC (both in-person and virtually)
Experience, certification or formal training in working with neurodiversity and mood disorders using evidence-based modalities like CBT
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to independently conduct virtual therapy
Comfortable working remotely and autonomously
Competent with Google Workspace and Jane App
Access to a reliable computer and confidential workspace
Able to provide services in English

Warm, attuned, and empathetic communication
Highly detail-oriented with strong time-management skills
Organized, reliable, and able to balance multiple responsibilities
Willingness to participate in marketing activities (Writing blog posts, social media videos, etc.)
